Worth noting
- It is UConn’s final nonconference game of the season.
- Stanford’s lone victory in the series came last year at the XL Center. The Cardinal overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to post a 53-51 decision Dec. 18.
- It is the second game in a home-and-home series between the teams.
- UConn is coming off a 66-58 loss at Tulsa on Tuesday night. Stanford is coming off a 69-59 win at Cal on Wednesday night.
- The Cardinal has won four straight and eight of 10.
- The Huskies are playing on the road for the fourth time in five games. They are 2-1 in true road games this season.
- UConn’s Ryan Boatright and Stanford’s Chasson Randle tied for the Mr. Basketball of Illinois Award in 2011. It is the only tie in the 33-year history of the award.
- UConn is 21-4 all-time against current members of the Pac-12 Conference. It had a 13-game winning streak against the Pac-12 ended by Stanford last season.
- UConn has played one other time at Maples Pavilion, taking a 70-59 victory on Feb. 6, 1999. The Huskies went on to win their first national title that year.
- UConn has not played in California since the 2011 NCAA Tournament. It is the Huskies’ first regular-season game in California since opening the 2005-06 season at Pepperdine.
